Privacy Policy
At Ohemaa Fertile Home, we treat your information with the same care we bring to your fertility journey. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
Ohemaa Fertile Home (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a herbal practice focused on reproductive health and fertility support. We are not a hospital and not a medical practice. Ohemaa is a third-generation Ghanaian herbal practitioner, not a medical doctor.
2. Information we collect
Account information. Name, email, phone number, country, and the credentials you create when you sign up.
Health and fertility information. Symptoms, cycle and ovulation data, consultation messages, observations, treatment milestones, and any test results or notes you choose to log. This information is sensitive and we treat it with the strictest care.
Payment information. Handled by our third-party payment processors. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Location. Used only to display prices in your local currency (Naira, Euro, USD, Cedis). We do not track precise location.
Communications. Chat consultation messages, support correspondence, story submissions, and testimonies you submit through the app.
Device and usage data. App version, device type, language preferences, and anonymised usage analytics that help us improve the experience.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to provide consultations, recommend herbal and food-based treatments, track your fertility journey, fulfil orders, send the reminders you’ve enabled, support you over chat, improve our services, and meet legal obligations.
4. How we share your information
Practitioners and admin staff. Ohemaa and authorised staff access your information to deliver consultations and recommendations.
Distributors. When you order a product, only the delivery details required to ship it are shared with the assigned distributor. Distributors do not access your health records and cannot diagnose or prescribe.
Service providers. Trusted providers that help us run the app — payment processors, hosting, email and notification services — under written confidentiality agreements.
Legal obligations. When required by law, regulation, or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Account management and deletion
To preserve continuity of care and treatment history, accounts cannot be deleted directly from within the app. To request deactivation, data export, or correction of your information, contact our team using the details below. We may need to retain certain records to comply with legal or operational obligations.
6. Data security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including encryption in transit, restricted access, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify you of any material breach as required by applicable law.
7. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and for as long as necessary to provide the services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
8. International transfers
We operate across Ghana, Nigeria, Europe, and other regions. Your information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence. We take steps to ensure that any such transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, restrict, or object to processing of your information, and to receive a copy of your data in a portable format. Contact us to exercise these rights.
10. Children
Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
11. Cookies and analytics
We use a minimal set of cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to understand how the app is used in aggregate. You can control cookies through your device settings.
12. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as the services evolve and as the law requires. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email before they take effect.
